Ok I have a Reason 4 project belongs to a decade ago , now when opening it on Reason 11 it works fine with only 1 bar of dsp , but as I have Reason 4 installed on my compurer (and on the same windows 7) when opening and playing on Reason 4 it maxes out dsp and doesnt play .Obviousely my current computer is so much faster than the one from 10 years ago . What is happening here ?

Multi CPU Core and Thread support and there was a quite big performance optimization in R10 AFAIR.
Reason12, Win10

I've no idea but is it a problem or just a curiosity given that you can play it in R11?

Yeah I know that. But when a song plays fine on a very old computer on reason 4 . Is’nt that also suppossed to play fine on a 10 years newer pc running on the same Reason 4?

It should, but Reason 4 may not cope with the many cores as back then multi core was rather for HPC or servers only.

they never worked out the multi core issue with Apple computers and reason 4... can't say if the same was on windows or not... but I think windows was doing it better then Mac at the time of reason 4

And now suddenly the same project plays on reason 4 with no stuttering and problems at all . Dsp is on normal range and everything seems to be good and I never did anything to fix it. Anyone has any clue here?
