DI Acoustic Guitar really low recording levels

hi guys

Its a mystery to me, but as I thought it would be great to use the DI option on my acoustic guitar , to plugin to my Balance 2.0 for recording. But with everything turned up the recording level is just to low to use. It's Reason 10

Any ideas why this might be?
