What the heck happened to Reason?
Okay I just decided to get back into Reason 10 after a few months out (prob a year) and found nothing works. I paid £300ish for Reason 10 and then £8 a month for racks and now find no songs work because the racks don't seem to be supported anymore. I either have to fork out for a new upgrade or pay £20 a month (£240 a year is crazy expensive) but even then they don't have many of the racks I was using so all my old songs are effectively broken. Is this right? Is there anyway I can get a-list electric guitar extension at least?
10 is fine and compatible with all old and new racks. Try hitting 'sync all' on your account's products page.
10 should work for racks... does for me. Reason 9 does not allow most racks due to sdk change (I think ) ...
I noticed this firing up reason 9 on my second computer to authorize 9 when the ignition key becomes no more.
I have a separate licence for 9 and a separate licence 11/10

Click "Sync all" in your account and all should be back.
The Shop link is now at the very bottom of the front page, and I see the option is still there to subscribe to RE's.
As for A-list Guitars, they have been discontinued so that could be quite the problem...

There are benefits to buying RE
Indeed. I really do wonder what will happen to Reason+ in 5 years time and will it exist by then?

The a-list guitar RE's were discontinued a few months back, they did drop the price massively but they are gone now.reason228 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2021Okay I just decided to get back into Reason 10 after a few months out (prob a year) and found nothing works. No, this is a textbook example of someone who couldn't find the link to re-subscribe to their rented RE's. Let's not confuse the two!
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
But does re-subscribing to the REs work if the REs have been removed from the shop in the meantime? I suppose it does not and thus subscriptions suck.

Yeah - if devs remove their RE's and no longer offer them - they're gone forever. I wouldn't make that the sole qualifier of saying subscription suck, though. It's definitely a strike against them, however.

If you really need the A-List guitarists, you can take a look at the Virtual Guitarist series in VST format.
https://www.ujam.com/guitarist
A-List Acoustic = VG Amber
A-List Pop Chords = VG Sparkle
A-List Power Chords = VG Iron
A-List Fingerpicking Nylon = VG Silk
There is also VG Carbon, which is really cool! And they offer a bundle.
They also offer a 30-day trial on each! So for your sake you can start with that to see about getting your projects back on track and bouncing in place. Keep in mind though that they won't load the presets/patterns you had selected, so you'll have to figure that out, but everything is there.
At some point UJAM might release VG as REs like they did when the A-List Drummers were replaced, but no telling when and if that will happen.
cool thanks for thatjoeyluck wrote: ↑17 Mar 2021If you really need the A-List guitarists, you can take a look at the Virtual Guitarist series in VST format.
