Some questions I don't think were answered here or on RS' website:
1) Can I stack R+ licenses, e.g. buy 5 of them on sale and have 5 years covered?
2) Can I buy a R+ license at 3rd party reseller (like: Audiodeluxe, Plugin Boutique, etc.) and not activate it for some time? Does it have expiry / maturity date?
3) If for some reason I'd like to sell my annual R+ license 3 months in, can I do it and the buyer will have 9 months left?
I don't think you can sell/transfer a subscription once it's registered to an account, but you might want to reach out to RS support to get clarification.
So, how about that #2?

Annual R+ is currently on -50% sale via Plugin Boutique. I might get it when it's on Audiodeluxe. I'm yet to buy Objekt, Chord Sequencer and that vocoder thingy, so might as well spend the money there and see where Reason's at in 1 years time.

Last year I bought an R+ code from Thomann in November then used it 6 months later in may without any issues. Just remove your payment details from your account so when time runs out you don’t get charged, then input the code once your current sub runs out.

I reached out to Reason support last year and they told me as far as they know, the codes don’t expire but referred me back to the reseller to make sure. I then asked Thomann, Thomann said they checked with their distributor and their distributor confirmed there is no expiration date.

Unless those other third party sellers have a different type of code, you should be good to buy a code and use it once your current sub expires.
