We've been waiting since V9.5 for a working solution to get midi to play with Reason maybe an external host was the only way

I wonder if Reason Studios acquired Delora rsTouch and is releasing a new version under the name Reason Companion.

My gosh. That would be amazeballs.

The catch is that you need an active Reason+ subscription to use the Companion app.

Based on the name alone, and the current vernacular of service branding, I’m about 95% sure Reason+ is a subscription service of some sort. Most likely it’s a content subscription, with a regularly-updated library of refills and possibly a base tier of REs. I just hope it doesn’t also serve to gate some kind of new functionality like a remote app.

Nothing to open. I don't see a window. What annonys me is that it would be nice to get some serious info on what's being updated, since there are things that need to be updated and people are waiting for some improvements that are really important for thier work and workflow. I really don't have time for this playful update mysteries, when I need to work.
I open Cubase, there's an update. Most of the time very useful. I update and continue with my life. I really don't need this pop corn bulshit.

I actually agree with you. You should be informing of the update before we can “actually” update.
What if it’s something I don’t want or need. Or worse. It’s pointless.

I think it will be an application to enable you to work collaboratively on a track together - my guess its Reason running in a browser, perhaps - a shared Mixer, Rack and Sequencer so you can be in London and work together on a track with your 'companion' who lives in New York and both work on the same project in real-time and both see and hear the same screen.

That would be quote cool I reckon. They have recently got the Europa synth working in a browser so we know its doable.
