Maybe you all prefer the Swedish coolness over the German teutonic engineerings of the competitors

Even if some of them are now owned by major non-German companies (Apple, Yamaha), their roots are mainly in Germany:

Cubase - Steinberg (Hamburg)
Logic - C-Lab/Emagic (Hamburg) The former main developer Dr. Gerhard Lengeling still works for Apple as music application executive
Live - Ableton (Berlin)
Bitwig - Bitwig (Berlin)
Studio One - Presonus (Hamburg)

Reason's unique selling point is rock solid stability and bug free operation. You cannot make it crash with stock devices. VSTs are a different story though.

Bitwig or Studio One hasn't crashed on me either in 3+ years. If you use legit plugins and not some shady freebies, it's very rare to have issues. It's no longer a unique selling point, IMO.

Yeah, Logic has rarely given me problems and is as stable as Reason - in fact I could even say Reason is as stable as Logic and/or Pro Tools. It's not so unique anymore. Neither are Reason's competitive advantages from 10-15 years ago.
