Hey guys, I have reason 8.3 fully paid for.
I had an old macbook pro with the old style ssd drives, it died and I bought a new macbook 2018 which doesn't have a normal hard drive...
I used to have my credentials saved so when I clicked on reason it had the username and pass saved and I just clicked go...
I can't remember what they were! I've contacted reasons support but they can't help without the email address which I have no idea what it was... I've tried all my known email addresses and no dice!
Is there a file or folder on my old drive I can copy onto my new mac? I've gone into library and app support and copied the reason folder over but when I click on reason it doesn't have the email address saved - bummer...
Could it be stored somewhere else?
My macbook broke, can't remember my logins but have the hard drive
WTF?!
What was the mechanism that was rembering your logins & passwords? On Windows Chrome and Firefox can do that, so it's enough to log into them - on any computer anywhere - and they will remind you the stuff. I've no idea how it works on Mac, but likely the same?

I am not 100% but I do know that Reason Studios (which for Reason 8.3 is called Propellerheads) is using the "standard" macOS storage.zuko wrote: ↑30 Sep 2020Hey guys, I have reason 8.3 fully paid for.

So if you have access to the disk I would recommend copying the folders from your old drives to the new ones:
~/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software
~/Library/Preferences/se.propellerheads.reason.plist
(~ means your home directory)
To "see" the Library folder you can check this page: https://www.lifewire.com/os-x-is-hiding ... er-2260833
I do not know if this will fix the problem but it is worth a shot... It is obvious that the username and password is stored somewhere and support should tell you which file exactly to copy if you ask them.

If you can log into the reason studios home web page and click on 'My Account' It should tell you your username ..it will say 'logged in as...(username)........'.
Then you just have to work out your password!
Breathe slow . Go into yoga mode,...relax with a hot cup of tea...your not gonna remember anything if your stressed.
I did a fresh install of reason few weeks ago . I didn't need my username or password to get reason back as thats done through authourizer/codemeter. I had however managed to remember to mark my old hardrive as 'lost' before i did that so maybe that was the case.
I honestly cant remember my reason password either ..havn't had to use it for over a year as i don't trial re's . I think i may remeber but don't want to take the chance!

It's the same password as you use to log in to the Reason Studios website, so if you used Safari and the same Apple ID with the iCloud Keychain on your previous Macbook, there's a chance that it remembers your login information!zuko wrote: ↑30 Sep 2020Hey guys, I have reason 8.3 fully paid for.

On your new Mac, open the app called "Keychain Access". in the search field, search for "propellerhead" (since that's what the site was called before), and see if you find any login information there.
One post. No updates.
