What determines whether a combinator is saved as an instrument or an effect?

Hi,

I have a Dune 3 synth in a combinator. It's quite a complicated patch - for example built in audio splitter for main part and reverb, then the reverb is ducked against the dry signal before being mixed together in a line 6:2.

When I save the patch it saves as an effect - i.e. when I load a new instance of it no mix channel is created, and when I create it underneath an instrument the instrument routes through it!

I'd like to make it so that Reason knows the combinator is an instrument. What am I doing wrong?

I've uploaded the patch (which is, as I say, really quite complex and has a load of VSTs in it). This may help, but also someone may know the answer straight away from previous experience.

I think it is the main input into the Combinator.
* Audio in used -> Effect
* No Audio in -> Instrument

If the combinator's "To devices" output jacks are connected to any device, then the combinator becomes an effect
