Hi there,
I have an issue ( moved house, didn't have the issue before I took down the studio :/)
I start Reason 8 first. Loads and can play and hear signal.
I load cubase 8, states Steinberg driver cannot be found ( my soundcard) I then cannot change driver when Cubase loads.
If I start cubase first, will load no problem, but the I load Reason, I get a signal but no sound. ( driver is greyed out and I cannot change it)
I am not running rewire at any point.
Win settings shows Reason using Steinberg in and out.
I have updated drivers etc. I'm going nuts going round in circles!
Win10, Steinberg UR242, Reason 8
Reason 8 Driver issue
hello,
in reason
select: edit > preferences > audio
and then at the bottom of that tab
check to see if 'play in background' is checked
this might do the trick
also
download 'asio4all' and start messing with that
also
reinstall reason
reinstall cubase
reinstall audio drivers
(this will suck but it might fix the situation)
i use windows 7 and reason 10
best of luck,
j
