prophet rev2 not recording midi notes properly from reason

I've got this strange problem. My favorite synthesizer (the prophet rev2) is not recording midi notes properly and seems to skip notes at random.
This occurs only in reason, and not in logic or via reaper which seems to isolate the problem to reason.

I'm using an amt8 on a mac el captain.

I'm a bit confused now on what to do. The rev2 is my workhorse/signature synth and Reason my main DAW.
What can i do within reason which might solve this problem?
