Rumours say they will announce the switch to the ARM architecture this month at WWDC 2020. Apparently internally Apple have been using prototype Macs with ARM chips for some time and they've been kicking azz, completely outperforming equivalent systems with Intel chips.
I believe Reason and it's rack extension are heavily depend on Intel x64specific instructions such as like SSE/SSE2, which are not very portable, so they can't be easily ported to RISC CPUs like ARM. And the iOS version of Reason has seen very little progress as of late.

ARM based Macs coming next year, will Reason Studios be ready?
