Reason VST Paramater names

So, when I use Reason with a VST within Ableton Live, I cannot control any of the paramaters without first configuring them to be mapped to the device in Live's chain.

BUT when I do that Live doesn't see the paramater names. I don't see "Combinator 1 knob 1" I just see a cc number. Unlike other VSTs

Am I missing an obvious fix here, because this is a bit of a pain?
