As some may know I've just got myself a Nektar Panorama T4 which has Aftertouch. Now Aftertouch is something I'm completely unfamiliar. I've recorded a keyboard track and when I went in to look at it in Edit mode there was a lane for Aftertouch in there looking much the same as when you automate the mod wheel. I know I can turn off Aftertouch on the keyboard (I think) but is there any way to remove the Aftertouch Lane from the track I've just recorded? All this new stuff is totally blowing my mind.

You can delete AT lane in automation menu (button on right side of sequencer).
But if you not use AT in reason devices, AT dont affect anything.

Or make use of it (Subtraktor next to the Polyphony Display) and modulate the Filter Freq. For my experince you have to map it like this on most of the synth's, if even possible.

Thanks. I’m not at my pc just now so can’t visualize it from your picture. Sure I’ll find it though.
Is that Reason 11? Does Reason 10 also have it?
Yeah...I wouldn’t have even known that Aftertouch was going on if I hadn’t seen the wavy lines on the Note lane. The PinkNoise synths have got aftertouch and I’ve been playing with them for a while. Pretty cool feature. Anyway, I’ll need to take a proper look at what it does. And what is Breath?

Best use for aftertouch - connect it to filter resonance. Play your note then press harder to make it squelchy.

Since you’re asking about this... My son recently created a cover version of Ghost’s Miasma, which in the original has a great sax solo at the end. He tried recreating it using a sax sound on an old X5DR Korg module, and used copious amounts of aftertouch, pitch and expression automation to try and make it more realistic. This was using a Nektar Panorama.

The midi performance controllers can also be allocated in the combinator.
