I'm trying to save a patch that I made in Kong. When I select the floppy-save button I get the following error message. I went into Preferences, checked and unchecked Self-contain samples when loading from disk and I still get the same error message.

Reading the error, it says: "you first need to un-self-contain the sounds in the SONG SELF-CONTAIN SETTINGS dialog (important parts capitalized). Your screen shots show the PREFERENCES - what you want is in the FILE MENU. Hope this helps!

Hi selig,

I have to take the samples that are in the Assigned Samples folder and move them in the Unassigned Samples folder? How do I move the samples to the Unassigned Samples folder? I tried dropping and dragging the samples from the Assigned Samples folder to the Unassigned Samples folder and that did not work.

You could just export the samples and reload em. Obvs put them somewhere safe and don't move em!

Make sure you actually save them to a destination if you've imported samples. If they're samples in the Factory Sound Banks then simply unchecking should be fine. Usually if it's still giving you an error message there's a sample somewhere that still hasn't been resolved in the unit.

Just do what the error message says! You keep posting screen shots of things that are NOT about what the error dialog is telling you to do! ;)
Use the SONG SELF-CONTAIN SETTINGS dialog in the FILE MENU, as the error dialog says, make sense? :)

Hi gullum,

Thank you for posting a picture. With your picture I figured it out.
