Hey, new Reason user here.

I'm trying to figure a way to get the Scales and Chords player to disregard the midi notes played in the keyswitch/articulation ranges of a VSTi (Ample Sound Guitars, in this case). Is this possible?

I.e. when using other players to randomize a pattern, and having S & C there to constrain the changes to a certain scale, S & C will likely make an undesired change to the keyswitches too.

You can use another player after S&C to filter those midi notes, which are not in the playable range. Delta MIDI Computer ord Note Filter should be able to do this.

If you are talking about splitting the keyboard, put everything in a Combinator and set there your splitting.

Success!

Used a Delta MIDI Computer quantizer preset, added 2 'If' nodes to set the ranges, and perfecto!

I foresee DMC having a lot of uses so, that developer definitely earned a new customer.

Thanks again for your responses.
