It won't work with any other VST3 plugin. VST2, is fine. Also AU is fine if you're on Mac. I guess at the moment it probably seems like RRP is a special case (although it's nice to see PreSonus acknowledge that it's not *just* this plugin). But as the VST2 format is deprecated now I think this will become more of an issue in time until the hosts catch up!
Ah ok, so it is a VST3 related problem, didn't know that!
Thanks

Hahaha, sometimes I really think I should post less and not more—anything can be interpreted as controversial!
Hello,

I don't ask to be rude, but I pose a fair question: what is your long-term commitment to Reason as a DAW? I've been a user since 4 and switched to a fully-dedicated Reason user when Record came out. I was happy when Record and Reason merged. However, it is a "reasonable" assumption that the future of the standalone is in doubt and a phrase like "if there is a reason 12" provides more basis for wondering.

For me, everyone's preferred alternative - Ableton - does not provide the same experience and workflow that reason does. However, videos like the one featuring Ryan, where I see the external DAW (which I know is necessary to demonstrate reason as a device), creates more doubt.

Could you please consider an emphatic statement this year on long-term intentions?

Many of us followed Propellerheads (miss the name and wish it didn't change) into the RE world and invested in the ecosystem, but most moves (losing rewire was one of them) presage that Reason's future is as a service, using VST, in other DAWs rather than a focused in-house DAW with a robust improvement strategy. The issue with high-res/dps monitors and the UI size is just example.

Thank you for what you do and Love Live Reason.

Reason Studios has already repeatedly said that they haven't abandoned Reason as a standalone DAW. Even in 11.0 proper, they added features that are strictly just for standalone Reason DAW. So, it's likely you'll see features for standalone Reason DAW in the future as well.

is there a thread for bugs? 11.2 on Windows latest the NN-19 digital sampler "hangs" when I have my project open for a long, long time with no activity eg i'm away from the computer for a few hours but left my session onscreen - playing the sequence out - the notes don't play, like they've been muted. Tapping on the keyboard sorta brings it back to life - but not always - and then i have to restart Reason - the midi is there, it's not muted.... It's not a deal-breaker...

Log in to Reason Studios website and select "My Tickets" from "My Account" menu in the top-right corner. Then "Contact Support" from there.

11.2.1

Mp3 export...so now we don´t need to put the Audiomatic mp3 patch on the final master bus anymore.

No, seriously, whenever I upgrade, it will be handy to put out quicker mix versions to move to the phone.

Super mp3 for those who still use it, personally I would have liked the export in FLAC format.
Thank you for this addition and the update :)

We're very happy to announce the release of Reason 11.2.1, Reason 11.2.1 Suite, Reason 11.2.1 Intro and Reason 11.2.1 Lite.

Here's what's new:

Fixed a bug where “Create…” menu items were unavailable
Fixed some cases where a Player would not auto-create an instrument
Fixes to the VST crash protection on Windows for increased plugin compatibility
Fixed a bug where the latest Authorizer would not be installed when updating Reason on Windows
Fixed a bug where joining cross faded clips would render parts of the audio with insert effects
Fixed a bug where device images in the browser could become corrupt with many plugins installed
Fixed a bug where browsing patches could temporarily remove browse focus in Reason Rack Plugin
Fixed a bug where Reason Rack Plugin could play 64 samples too early
Fixed a bug where the Wash algorithm in Audiomatic could self-oscillate indefinitely
Fixed a bug where the delay length of DDL-1 was not updated on sample rate changes
Improved auto-routing when replacing MIDI Out Device with an instrument
Improved error messages for file handling exceptions
Added MP3 export
https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... -released-
I was and still am an amateur, but I have a lot of fun making music (or noise :D ).
(MacBook Pro 13", Catalina, Reason 11 Suite (sometimes Ableton, Logic Pro X), some soft- and hardware)

Certainly MP3 export will be good for some, Gullum. It's been requested for ages. It's a fine set of bug fixes. Keep them updates coming, Reason Studios!

Yes - the same thing(: When opening a new track (that opened correctly in the previous Version (11.2.0) I get the "Internal Error" message. It has to do with the "Midi out device".

Is the problem still there? Is it safe to update?

"Is the problem still there? Is it safe to update?"

If you don't want to use the "MIDI out device" you can update. All tracks without this device will open correctly as far as I noticed - but no guarantee:;)

Tracks with it opened fine here in standalone at least.

I have tested this and I don't get this issue however I was speaking to someone else who had it.

The workaround was to open an empty project, then the project in question that was having the issue could be opened, not sure of your issues are the same.
