Dual Arp, velocity?

I think I've missed something very basic here.... But, can you explain to me, why isn't dual arp's velocity curve doing anything? Only if there is a spot in the curve with no velocity at all, it keeps silent.

I've only been trying this with various Europa-patches so far.
