can we have a sample import and some more drum kits in this thing ?

I dont think that is its point.

The idea is to have a drum box with a nice "pre-produced" set of kits/sounds as well as compatibility with Reason Compact.

It is also to get you to buy their UUMPF modules which do allow using your own samples.

Redrum and Kong are more for loading your own stuff and using either the Kong modules or Reasons external effects to get more polished sound.

No, I get it. I understand the reasoning behind it. I just really like the look and simple layout of the device, and I especially like the large waveform display. It's just a bit of a shame that it's only capable of playing samples that I personally have no use for, and as a non-iOS user, I'm excluded from using the app anyway.

But I do own both of the Umpf devices, so I'm not too sad about it.
