curved automation—just not for tempo...

curved automation is nice. good job, RS. but why in the hell would you implement it without letting us use it in a tempo track? bad job, RS.

it’s possible to draw your curve in another (non-transport) automation lane, drag it into your tempo track, adjust the alien clip to the lane, and manually set the start/end points of the curve where you want them, but that’s obviously laborious. and if you don’t get the curve right the first time (i.e. if you make the curve too aggressive or not aggressive enough), you’re SOL, and have to adjust your curve in the other automation track, and go through the steps again.

so basically, automation curves are functionally useless for tempo changes. so dumb.

Sounds like a mistake. Bet they will have to fix that in th next update.
