I'm not familiar with autorisation.

I'm suppose to teamwork with my brother (i compose, then he does arrangement, tweaking and mixing on his side).

Is it possible to have R10 working on one computer with online authorization and on an other officine computer with ignition key ?

Or should I have to buy 2 licences for R10 ans every RE ?

As the End User License Agreement (https://www.reasonstudios.com/agreements) says:
a. Unless otherwise specified, this license is your personal license and the Software may only be used by you ...
c. At any given time, you may only use the Software on as many computers as your license permits. Unless specifically specified, licenses are single user licenses and may only be used on one computer at a time.
So you need two licenses, if you want to work with Reason at the same time.

You can only have one ignition key authorized at a time. You can also have a pc authorized. You can only have one instance of Reason using internet verification at a time. Technically I think it would work as using an ignition key/ authorization on pc doesn’t connect to the server so “nobody knows”. Essentially it would even work using internet verification on both PCs if you’re using the same login as long as you’re not both logged in at the same time. Legally a totally different matter.

As noiserunner and MrFigg said, the license you obtain is a personal license. Thus both of you would need a valid license for Reason and all RE (Unless only one of you works with the midi data. Then you could bounce to audio before going into mixing etc.)
From an authorisation point of view you can use Reason on multiple PCs, but not at the same time.

Lets keep the license for you ;) but, it should be no problem to Online-Login Work and, if you have to go to another setup, you can let run the Online-Login Reason, if you are on the other Computer logged in via Offline Login.

When I am working in my Main Studio, I do make the mixing part on the big speakers but for comfort, I often go to my laptop and try some different melodys to work out with Online-Login. But don´t forget, never ever work with the Online-Login on 2 PCs at the same time!

The licence is for the user, not the computer.
You can install reason on every PC or MAC you have - you can even install it on your friends PC if you like, just don't use the licence on more than one machine at at time. If the software is open, the licence is being used.
@pushedbutton on twitter, add me, send me a message, but don't try to sell me stuff cos I'm skint.
Using Reason since version 3 and still never finished a song.

Everybody buys his own licenses.

You could both do the grunt work in Reason Lite, then use Reason Full for the final stages.

Screw it man. Do your bit on your side. Then, if it makes you feel better, just pretend you’re at your brothers doing his bit on his side. I’ve opened Reason at home and let my kids play on it and they don’t have their own licenses.

It is technically possible, but it is a violation of the license legally.

But yeah, it’s completely possible to use an Ignition Key offline on one computer and use Internet Auth on another at the same time. It’s just not supposed be done, according to the EULA. Not that the Internet Police are going to knock on anyone’s door and take them away or anything...

And let’s face it, he needs to do his bit before his brother does the second bit so it more than likely is only going to be used on one computer at one time.

Thanks.

You may as well do so: use it on two fixed computers (given ownership of an ignition key) plus one online auth machine - but it's YOU who has to use Reason.
1. Use of the Software
a. Unless otherwise specified, this license is your personal license and the Software may only be used by you and your right to use the Software is unlimited in time

Could one, in theory, even install two Reason Full offline licenses in parallel?
Like on a shared computer at home?
How would the authenticator even know which license to use.

My best guess is, no, so you couldn't even avoid family members using the same license even if you wanted to...

i think it was explain enough here...Just because something is possible or cannot be verified, does not make it legal. Its like driving 100 with your care in a city - it's illegal, even if nobody sees you doing that.

But keep in mind: If ppl are overdoing things, there might be more restrictions in future - like radar traps or cops everywhere...

You can only authorize 1 computer for offline use - full stop. That means 1 computer/profile/etc. So obviously if the family shares/uses the same computer, they can use Reason. You have zero to worry about in this case. Aside from your kids seeing your porn. Shame on you.
