Lite vs. Full version

Mattias said there will be a Reason 11 Lite, but it won't have the RackVST if that's why you're asking.
Good question if 10Lite --> 11Lite will be free. I don't know either. But it would make sense to release an update for free, since you get a license anyways if you make an account with Reason Compact. Why would they hand out the old version..

With some clever use of Combinators for synths, NNXT for samples and Kong for loops, you can go well beyond the limitations. Many of the devices missing compared to Reason 10 Full can be replaced by either (free or paid) Rack Extensions, VST plugins or stock-DIY-plugins from the Factory Sound Bank.
Fully functional SSL Mixer AND Europa are included too. It's ridiculous!!

However, I noticed during the install that there was no option to install as a VST plugin, unlike with version 11.3, so can 11.2 be used as a VST inside other DAWs?

i wanted to help everyone who is confused as to what happened with many of the instruments
included in reason lite.

recently , after reason lite ver 11.2 , they removed many of the full version sounds and instruments that they used to include before version 11. 3 .

many people do not know that if they have a reason 11 lite key, they could request the lite version 11.2 that still
included all of the full instruments .

remember , version 11.2 lite = full instruments , but has no external vst routing to use reason as a plugin, i think
has maybe an 8 count limit total for rack instruments per session , because its lite version, but still contains
all the rack instruments just like full version.

version 11.3 lite, and up , removed many of the great instruments that were initially included,
contains very few instruments or racks, but allows you to use reason inside another daw as a vst plugin .,
however strips down the daw to more barebones , and now forces you to buy full version to get back all instruments and racks.

for everyone who owns a reason 11 key ,
if you want the full rack and instrument version which was ver 11.2 ,
just search google for reason lite version 11.2 , or open a support ticket on reason website,
and ask for download version 11.2 lite.

Lite 11.2.1 does not contain all devices of the full (standard) version.
