You need to set Subtractor to 1 voice (which you already have) and legato mode instead of retrigger. This means that when notes overlap, the new pitch will be reached according to the portamento/glide time.
As said you can try with portamento. You also can try with envelopes routing to the pitch and preserve polyphony.
The mod-env has pitch-routing option. On the frontside you have to choose between osc 1 or 2, which gives very interesting sounds.
But you also can choose to route it with CV to pitch on the backside of the Subtractor. In this way you modulate the total pitch (osc 1 and 2) as that is what you prefer.
