I use ID8 instruments for writing chord progressions and getting the overall song laid out. Now that I have a good idea laid out I want to switch out the ID8 with synths and start working on sound design with all the midi data from ID8. Is there a way to just switch out the instrument on the same channel? The only way I am seeing is to create a new instrument channel and physically move the midi information along with moving the output wires to the new instrument. I feel like and idiot doing it like that. Please help! Thanks!

You can simply drag & drop the new instrument from the list on top of the ID8 in the sequencer.
