100% = No VST, right? Then I suppose, not that many, as quite a few will use izotope plugins or melodyne.

Mattias and Ernst makes PSB covers together. in their spare time, if that counts. I'll let you guess who's Neil and who's Chris.

I'm a bit curious that why don't they. If Estonians would make a DAW - and if it would be like Reason, why in the hell I'd use anything else?

I don't think it does matter where the DAW is made, I wouldn't prefer any DAW over the rest just because it's made in my country, specially these days where it doesn't make any difference in price + taxes. If the DAW works well and fits your needs, who cares where it's developed?

I've met a few Swedish musicians or rather tinkereres and they have either never heard of Reason or think it's a gimmick.

I think Abba used Reason for their really early stuff but later on they could afford real instruments so they switched to using them...

Yeah Reason was more of a input live instruments into Reason and use the stock synths for synthesis kind of daw.
The digital plugins from steinberg's sdk that emulate real acoustic instruments came later at version 9.
Yeah Reason was more of a instrument than a daw for a very long time.
