i would have loved single outputs for rytmik.
It has separate outs. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are referring to?

Like Monotone really much of the little I tested it. Simple and good sound!

Omnisphere 2.6.1 is still crushing, and it crushes more often, as I can see :-(

Omnisphere is like if Reason wasn't a daw.
Such a huge plugin but no piano roll.

I can't know what PH's plans are but if one of them is to be able to login to your DAW (even a lighter version of it) from anywhere in the world with your credentials, on any machine, via a web browser, then PH will be unstoppable.

** Graphical nit pick warning **

Why have Props seemingly given up on designing the back of their own devices? They used to have interesting back-sides with vents, power cables, screws, labels etc, but now more often than not they're just mostly blank. Rytmik in this case looks ok, but the bass one just looks unfinished.

Thats true. We can be thankful atm that there are some CV ins and outs...

Definitely wasn't expecting this! I'm messing around with Monotone in a new track, and I think the sounds are great. Haven't tried Rytmik yet, but it looks great!

VERY happy about the multiple outs on Rytmik and the CV options on both devices. YES! Thank you PH!!

I wish we could load samples in Rytmik, but that's my only real complaint at this point. :D Great update!

I want a "Polytone" in R11 with the exact same character and simplicity, and some PWM.

Having a drum machine on iOS that you could live sample with is literally one of the biggest requests I had for Reason Compact. It boggles my mind that they didn't make this a pocket sampler. Could have been epic.

You know what they said about the SDK, it is easily portable. So they could maybe drop Umpf as a phone app. They probably need to figure out sales strategy, should it be free since you need to buy the RE to transfer to Reason, or will be like a $5-9 add on, or a lower price for RE owners? But my guess is that they can start dropping stuff like this pretty quickly if they want to (UI work, sure, but the engines are there...). Maybe they need to assure a few things mature first, but the end result could be like iMachine crossbred with Korg Gadgets. I'm sure they have an app masterplan for this.

Don't know if this is the same issue as you're having, but check out this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7510557&p=428417#p428417

Apparently, if you have more than 1000 or-so VSTs/REs installed, thumbnails and other device artwork starts to go haywire. I logged an issue with the Props and was hoping it would be fixed in 10.3/10.4, but I guess not :(

Oh I agree. I'm sure they needed the RE's to be free (in the desktop version), hence the reason we didn't get Umpf Compact, and since RE's are the way to get stuff to iOS, that ruled out Kong. Still, they could have added a sampling function to Rytmik quite easily. Hopefully this will appear as an in-app purchase option at some point. If it doesn't, well... that's just a travesty.

I like those new devices. You can quickly write a idea down.

Good sounds for the bass thingy, nothing fancy needed to make the bass sound good, its already there. Same for the drum thingy, good samples, funky drum kids.

Just got a good groove going. I like them. Quicky and easy. I guess this is the right thing for Compact AND for Reason. A good addition. Well thought through imo.

And at some point you reach the devices limits and want more - more content to pay for or hop into the desktop Reason and deeper synths...

Two nice new devices - quite a lot of control through combinator / automation tracks. And for Free!

Why RYTMIK lets you automate the end of a sample but not the start - looks like a random decision.

Also, showing people a couple of samples in the RE folder content and saying "yah look you can have these but not your own" - meh. Far away from the original Reason concept of providing the devices and let people use their full potential. After all these years that we can use our own samples in Redrum and others, now we get cool devices that are intentionally crippled.
