Post Malone Bass

Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me how to achieve a bass sound in Reason similar to the one in Post Malone's I Fall Apart

Been using Reason since version 8 but still a newb

Dimished provided a great response above, but if that doesn't help, maybe try a sine wave bass tone you like and use a low pass filter to limit the frequencies to less than 150hz?

Very low volume square wave, sounds like there is a reverb on the master bus as well.

Creating such a bass is not that hard. the problem is rather to let him work with the drums. the relationship makes him sound like that.

Its a simple sine wave with a pitch envelope. Nothing special...

This is my take on it. Notice that the bass is made up of layers and the kick drum has been separated from it. Hope this helps you get closer to it.

I changed the low shelf EQ to "LF Bell" on the bassline and lower volume a bit and it sounds a little better
