Haven't seen it picked up on this forum so thought I'd share.

Here's the video, starting with the intro to Magnus speaking:
Why am I not all that surprised after the POC they did with Europa? (p.s.: That also means if they want to make Reason fully web compatible, they must be porting most of the built in devices to the RE SDK. So I guess Reason 11 will have Hires GFX as well.)

That is really cool, but keep in mind that this is not Reason, rather an internal tech demo that looks a bit like Reason. They recreated the device browser and a lite version of the rack, but I’m 99% sure if you hit tab there’s no cable view. And of course, there’s no sequencer or mixer.
Propellerhead clearly has some plans for web-based tools, but Magnus isn’t going into detail on that yet.

FWIW, I have Magnus at 6:52:45 in this video.
Oh weird. They must've changed the video. Fixed. The video for me before was closer to 4 hours long.
Does this mean Android phones will finally get some version of Reason like we see on iOS?

Nice. Imagine a collaborative web based version of reason where multiple people could interact with their own visual part of the same shared rack. Only sending midi and cc over the wire and using latency compensation to line everything up so each person heard the same stuff. This could be epic

Well, not much chance of cool stuff on Android and Chrome on Huawei, right?

Right, lol. Unless that gets worked out, but I doubt it.JiggeryPokery wrote: ↑20 May 2019Well, not much chance of cool stuff on Android and Chrome on Huawei, right?

to me it seems like it will give access to everyone, so they can get more users interested in Reason... unless you have all the tools/RE's available in browser mode, but what would this cost? it's pretty cool to see polysix and europa in a browser based on that demo.
Well, maybe the fridg has enough power and the audio will be rendered in the cloud like you probably can do in near future with games...

At least the fridge will have a freeze function.
I'll show myself out.

Most recent track: resentment (synthwave) || Others: on my YouTube channel •ᴗ•
Shoot and all I have wanted is Rack Extension fridge magnets (the new poetry magnets, but for making device chains). I like this idea too. Reason anywhere and everywhere!
re: why it might be useful... imagine how convenient it would be for prospective new users to try out a demo version of Reason right in their browser, without having to download anything or set up an account first. removing barriers—even small ones could bring even more users into the fold, and the more people who use it, the more $ they’ll have to develop further.
I’m sure there are plenty of other reasons, but that’s one that pops to mind.

Yeah and also, as mentioned in the blog and as is showcased with Europa running on a webpage, even as a Reason owner, you can create and save Europa patches.guitfnky wrote: ↑20 May 2019re: why it might be useful... imagine how convenient it would be for prospective new users to try out a demo version of Reason right in their browser, without having to download anything or set up an account first. removing barriers—even small ones could bring even more users into the fold, and the more people who use it, the more $ they’ll have to develop further.

Collaboration. Multiple users across the globe sharing a song file saved in the cloud and edited in browser version of Reason?
Literal LOL... thanks for that...diminished wrote: ↑20 May 2019At least the fridge will have a freeze function.
