Just saw Figure 3.0 pop up in the Apple iOS App Store. There’s mention of “better integration with Reason”. I always loved knocking about little musical ideas in Figure. But the fact you couldn’t take it further was always such a frustration.

The version history of Figure just says that it’s back. The better integration is for future updates in the coming months...
But the app went from 66mb to 103. So something is already added - not just the name change from Allyhoopy to Propellerhead.
Someone in the review comments also said you need to set up an account or use your email to use the app now. Just a heads up, FYI. But most people here would probably already have one set up.

And also Take Vocal Recorder is back! If Figure will integrate better with Reason, perhaps Propellerheads have a new take on Allihoopa cloud sharing? And this means that also Reason perhaps need to be updated? Who knows, but we know more in the next few months.

If you’re already a Reason user, you just use your existing Propellerheads account to log in. Presumably this is to accommodate the future Reason integration.

It's not up to Propellerhead, they received a cease and desist from Roland.

I've been curious about this. I'm not sure if Roland was selective, but I haven't heard any reports of other companies who make software and hardware emulations being contacted about intellectual property... Maybe it has to do with Roland in a way giving Propellerhead their blessing in the beginning and not wanting it to be misconstrued by customers going forward? I guess Propellerhead also could have altered the look if necessary and removed name associations and been fine? But probably just wanted to stay on Roland's good side?

Not testify necessary today. Loved the PCF filter.

yes! this is good news and the prospect of tighter Reason integration is exactly what I wished for. Please replicate the instruments plus effects, midi tracks and automation instead of just copying stems. That would make it very useful to me.

I would love MIDI export and a RE that has the figure sounds.
That way I can expand on what I created while running around...
No use for me otherwise...

I saw this announcement, and I immediately checked for Android support. I don't have Apple (well Apple ][+ but that's dating me). Does Props have ANY integration for apps on Android?

coolness! I am very happy to hear this. Figure is great thing. I don't care for Reason Compact. Charge me a one-off, that is fine. No thanks for the microPayments for added features. More sounds and proper stem exports from Figure would be a boon.

Nope. They say the audio engine isn't good (enough?)

I've been trying a couple of apps, there are really good alternatives.
I bought Caustic for example

Caustic is epic. A few days ago I finally got a USB-OTG adapter and now I can play my phone with my USB MIDI controllers.
Latency is perfectly fine (on the lowest setting) on an old phone like the Nexus 5X.
:reason: Most recent track: resentment (synthwave) || Others: on my YouTube channel •ᴗ•

Cool, I've not tried that yet.
Also that 5X! I had that when I bought Caustic lol.

Well, that's disappointing. I didn't want to leave the Reason family, but for mobile on Android, it seems that Props has no answer. Thanks, I'll try out Caustic!
