Hi,
I wonder if anyone else has this issue?
Whilst making a beat, a window pops up through reason "computer too slow to play song ...."
Clearly cant handle all the channels ans synths etc.
But now when i try to re open the files, It tells me " out of memory"
Maybe I do fear the worst, Anyone else had this?
Out of memory unable to open the file - Issue
How much ram does your computer have?
That's surprising but then I gotta ask how many tracks and devices are loaded up? The other thing is eliminate any and all non essential running apps on your pc then launch reason
Running out of ram? Then serum is most likely not the culprit as synths do not have any libraries in them and generate sound using the CPU instead.
Expanse uses more dsp than Serum does, but that does not stop me from using it instead.
Kontakt & Omnisphere are the plugins that eat your ram.

Well, I don't know..
That's why i put the thread up.
My project has a lot of combinators and wiring, FX etc and I notice at a point, its finding it hard to keep going.
For example, the track is looping in the background while i play the keyboard, finding a hook, with a serum combinator.
Window pops up "comp too slow to play song"
So if not RAM what would cause "comp too slow to play song"?
I try to re open the file, but I get a message "out of memory ....."
I've not tried to open it again this morning, as I am scared to shit that it wont open and i've lost the whole track..

First remember to always save some backup copies of your files, so you can revert to a working state of a track.
Then set the CPU limit in the preferences to none. This will stop the message boxes from interrupting you session. Be warned that you will then encounter aoudio glitches or drop outs if you overload your CPU with too much DSP.
