Loading up all those cpu hungry RE's, all that stuff I cut out of patches to stream line things... Just a bad memory now.

I know, that was more or less my reaction. That sluggishness that crept in when using VSTs is entirely gone. Couldn't be happier!

This is not an exaggeration. It performs just like it did back when Reason 8 was brand new.

So if it plays like 8, it must be playing better than 8 because 10.2 already played like 8 on my system... 😂

That's been a bad memory for me since I upgraded my desktop, but if this performance boost is real, that makes laptop-based Reason a viable option again :D

I should hope the non-logging version is out by now, if they plan on hitting a mid-April release.

13" Non-Retina MBP late 2012 1.9GHz i7 16GB RAM. I throw anything I can at it, the thing purrs like a kitten. It's unreal.

It must run better than 8 because 10.2 already ran equal to 8.

And 9.

And 6.

And 7.

You guys should compare the same projects and the performance is the same in 10.2 (as long as you disable hyperthreading). I Already have this validated by more users, and propellerhead themselves.

I just heard Reason 10.3 is so efficient, it actually results in down to negative three bars of CPU usage, at 64 sample buffer settings?

can anyone confirm???

This will be incredibly dependent on your system and audio interface, so you'll have to take that rumor as confirmation that it did so for whomever said it did

I hope the update will be beneficial for native devices and rack extensions also. It would be a great present.

I can confirm that reason 10. 2 ran as well as reason 8 and 6 on my system.

I can't confirm anything about r10.3 as beta testers are bound to an NDA.
