Hi everyone! Please excuse the wall of text, but I just want to be as clear as possible
to avoid any misunderstandings. Also I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but let's give it
a go:

Bought a E-RM Multiclock yesterday that I would like to sync to Reason 9.5
for recording hardware but without any luck so far. Being in touch with customer
support and reading the manual about 17 times haven't helped, so still clueless as
to why the Multiclock won't start when pressing play in Reason. Nothing is happening.

Using a Saffire Pro 40 interface and the input of the Multiclock is routed to
output 5 on my interface. Channel 04 on the MC is routed to MIDI IN on my
Analog Rytm and 'Source' on the MC is set to 'Audio In'. Been trying to follow
each step of the manual carefully and managed to get a signal from my MC
plugin to a mix track in Reason(routed to audio output 5 and 6 on the I/O).
Not sure if I'm even remotely on the right track, but the signal is going without
any buzzing so I guess it's a step in the right direction.

Now, does anyone on here have experience with this setup and perhaps know
what I am doing wrong? So far the only clue on how to make the MC work is a
post on Elektronauts by someone who syncs their gear with the MC driven by
"Reason-Audio-Click Out". Is the person referring to the metronome?

From the manual:
"Assign the track’s audio output to the soundcard channel you
have connected your multiclock to and set the fader initially to
0dB."

How do I do the first part of the sentence in Reason?

Kind regards! / A.

Hit tab to flip the rack around. Find the audio channel, and connect the Direct Out to the top of the rack where the hardware interface resides.

If you want the audio channel to be output 5, drag a cable from the left direct output to left channel of the 3rd stereo pair.

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated! Great to hear that I'm on the right track as this actually is exactly what I have done so far. Technically it should work now as far as I understand, but the Multiclock still does not respond when hitting play in Reason. Anyone else who can help me out?

Kind regards! / A.
