When loading up a project it says RE's missing, download them via the link to the shop.
I see three regular used re's, DQ, khz transient shaper and another one.
I click download "you have no license in your account for this RE, check your account"
I go to my RE's list, they are all there, as expected, but it takes a minute to load up the account page.
Rebooted my machine (win 7, Reason 10.latest), checked my internet connections.
Retried, same story.

I see someone having trouble loading up the shop half an hour ago, server (sync) issues ?
I use internet verification/login.

Hmm, we are seeing some sporadic server issues right now. Looking into it as I type this!

I never understand what you write, Loque.

My rack extensions show up on my products page but not in Reason still. I tried on my authorised computer (turned off the internet) and they are there but not on the new computer I wanted to start working with today...

Great! It should be back to normal for most users. Some might still experience a blank RE page, but don't worry — nothing's actually gone or anything. We're still looking at sorting it out. Have a cup of tea, maybe pet an animal and it should be back to normal before you know it. Thanks for the patience!

And right there is the problem with relying on on-line authorisation. It's only good whilst the servers work.

I don't see a problem if uptime is like 99,xx% of the time

Until you want to make music in that .xx% bit.

And who's to say PH will still be here next year or the year after? It's a weakness of all the modern DAWs and, of course, other software too. All that investment can just go in a flash.

If this is something you worry about the $50 investment in an Ignition Key is definitely worth it. You'll be able to continue to access all your purchased, and installed REs, without Internet access, and regardless of if the Props still exist.

Even with just an authorized system (pc/mac) you don't need a connection right?

As long as you don't have trials, that is.

Also true. But where that runs into trouble is if the Props do go out of business. You can't move the authorization from one computer to another. An Ignition Key solves that problem too.

Yeah, both of those are true, but only until you buy a new PC and need to install the software and REs again. It's not going to happen any day soon but it is a reminder of how fragile the software ecosystem is these days.

Maybe Props should make it easier to locate the RE folder. I don’t know if copying it and then pasting in the required location after a reinstall works but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
So then you could have a backup of the latest Reason and a backup of the RE folder and all your licenses on an ignition key and you’re good to go if the world comes crashing down.
