when i record a drum track and i hit record to track the drun sequencer plays while the audio track with the same recorded information plays. how do i stop it from running at the same time everytime i play back the audio track?

Create a pattern lane for drum sequencer. And then draw in pattern blocks where you want it to play. Or just disable the player with the top left button after you’ve finished working with it
