The file has a bad format...

Just tried opening an example song which worked fine last week and got the message...the file has a bad format and cannot be loaded. See screenshot. I've tried downloading the file again and also restarting my PC. Same problem. Anybody tell me why?
Could it be because one of the REs in the song maybe got updated?

Edit: Just checked...when I downloaded and tried the demo song and subsequently bought the RE on the 16th January it was version 1.6.0. then on the 18th of January the RE got updated to 1.6.1. Should that really give me a bad format on the song? I mean REs get updated all the time without causing any problems.

Which RE? A beta maybe? Normally you can load the song, just not the patches.

Before I bought ChordSet and NoteSet I downloaded the trial versions. I then opened a demo song Retouch Control sent me so I could look at the back of the rack, cabling etc. worked fine. Liked the REs so bought them immediately. 16th Jan.
On the 18th Jan I noticed that ChordSet updated from version 1.6.0 to 1.6.1.
I tried opening the demo song last night and got the bad format message. I redownloaded the song using the Dropbox link they sent me but it still won’t open.

Maybe something changed in the last moment, not unusual with beta stuff. Just guessing...

It’s not a Beta.
Does anyone else have ChordSet and NoteSet and can download the song and send me a screenshot of the back of the Rack. I’d really, really appreciate it.

Just want to chime in.

I had similar problem. After updating ChordSet to 1.6.1 my Combi patches were not loading.
I decided to contact Retouch Control support. Get in touch with them: http://retouchcontrol.com/support/

They gave me access to new beta (1.6.2) and issue seems to be resolved.

Yeah I contacted them the same time I wrote this post. They are helpful. Apparently 1.6.1 has a bug. I didn’t get the beta but they’re working on an update.
