how to control steppless the division between the kicks of a bass drum with a midi controller ?

i want to use an extrenal midi controller to control steppless the division between the kicks of a bass drum without to beeing forced
to use a certain rate. when i use the player dual appregio i can automate the rate, and assign it to a midi controller but it is fixed to
certain steps 1/8 or 1/32 etc. i dont want that. has somebody a clue how to fix that in a RE like Punch or something different.

Just record the sequence you want to create, then when you're done, click the block of notes and hit quantize =) !

Maybe with modulating Note Echo...

But in general you need a gate generator like a square LFO which is connected to a Gat In of your drum. Now modulate or change the LFO rate.

A different way could be to use this LFO for filters, gain or similar. Maybe a Decay type LFO on a pitch or filter can be interesting too.
