ReCycle allows a much more fine-tuned ability to slice your samples, including adjusting the slice marker sensitivity for transients/zero-point crossing. It's also handy if you need to batch rex a bunch of samples.

I haven’t noticed the sensitivity because it’s been many years since I last used Recycle but the batch feature makes total sence! actually one thing I do remember well is always do them via headphones slicing and on play back to detect clicks because I noticed even some of the major sample cds which had Rex and Wavs and AIFF, the Rex can have the clicks where the other formats was crystal clear back in the early days,I’m sure they are all good now from all the big playersEnochLight wrote: ↑21 Dec 2018ReCycle allows a much more fine-tuned ability to slice your samples, including adjusting the slice marker sensitivity for transients/zero-point crossing. I still love the Rex player and it’s easy feature and that’s one of my Reason why I like Reason
I found some old photos of all my old Refills etc I wish I had them all now he!he!

ReCycle uses the old fashioned "need to have the DVD-ROM inside your DVD-ROM drive" in order to get activated.

Hmm. Ok. I’m pretty sure when I bought it on eBay 6 or 7 years ago Props did the license transfer before I got the box and license card in the post. But maybe I remember wrong.EnochLight wrote: ↑21 Dec 2018ReCycle uses the old fashioned "need to have the DVD-ROM inside your DVD-ROM drive" in order to get activated.
So doesn’t the license transfer work if the previous owner has already activated it?
Edit: now that I think about it I’ve installed on new PCs using just the download from Propellerheads and copy/ paste license number from my account.

I downloaded and installed from the Props site this evening. I inserted the disc when prompted and I entered my license code when asked. Note: disc was asked before license code. The software then runs fine and doesn't prompt for disc or registration again.
I can transfer the licence - yes. But based on what I found this evening... the disc is required on first install - otherwise it's open and instant quit!
Check my Soundcloud:
Well...I just tried installing ReCycle from the download and got the screen shot when I tried to open it. Now I don't understand. I tried it with the disc in. Same thing.

It doesn't require Codemeter. Again, the only copy protection that it uses is to require the CD-ROM to be in your disc tray once when you launch it for the very first time. Anyway, sounds like you have other issues though. Good luck!

Without a larger waveform view in Reason, it would be difficult to use. ReCycle allows you to go full screen.

Other issues on so many levels ha ha .
But yeah every time Windows 10 updates something either starts working again (printer) or stops working (midi, ). Sucks. And I really can’t be bothered doing a whole new install.

You probably need to install the proper Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Runtime. (You cannot just install 2017 runtime and it's done, you need the actual version from 2003 to 2015, whatever the correct version maybe). Just Google it and you will find download links to these installers on Microsoft.com and other sites.
I used to make music but now I just cry on these forums. @diippii.com
Installed every c++ from 2005 to 2017 in both 32 and 64 bit versions. Still doesn't workWillyOD wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018You probably need to install the proper Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Runtime. I'm on ReCycle 2.2.4 (build 319) on Windows 10 Pro - works fine for me. Here's a list of all of the Runtime crap I have installed though:
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
Thanks Enoch...yeah I've got nearly all that crap too. It's bugging the life out of me. I hardly use ReCycle anyway but I've got that mentality that when I know something should work but doesn't (even if it doesn't make any difference in the long run) I get obsessed. Why doesn't it work? Whyyyy???!!!!

Ok. I’ve given up. Downloaded and installed every single Runtime and update since 2005 and still the same message. I need to wash. I need to eat. I need to collect my kids...oh man, that was 6 hours ago. Oh well. Computer in the bin. Merry Xmas.

Sorry, I was outta comms for few days.
Bottom line is that they didn't add recycle to Reason. They added some half assed version of slicing that's so half assed you still need Recycle if you want to get deep into anything.
I sold my license for a song months ago as I haven't used it for ages (changed how I'm making music, etc) and now I'm heading back in the other direction like an ass.
