I know I’m going to kick myself but last night I couldn’t work out something

I used the DrOctRex and did some automation on the pitch wheel but it kept recording over the blocks

I wanted the automation separately on the pitch bend lane so I took off the “red recording enable button” obviously I didn’t record anything and then I tried the other red button with the recording on nothing

So I must be doing this totally wrong

so In a nutshell how do you do automation in real time by using the batch bend wheel so the information is separate in information on the pitch bend lane without drawing it in with s pencil?,
