macOS App Shortcuts... Why wasn't I using it for my favorite devices before?

I've known about App Shortcuts in macOS and use them for a couple menu items in Reason, but I somehow overlooked the ability to assign shortcuts to my favorite devices... which live in the menu as well 
As a refresher, here is the quick tip that always deserves a bump:
Now to assign one of my favorite devices, I just have to include the device name as it appears in Reason's menu. I guess using sub-menus slipped my mind... And I'm sure most other people using shortcuts are probably aware
