Was hoping the Midi Inputs are some means to directly control Rack Devices without a corresponding sequencer track. Just select, control, select control...

By Chord Selector, do you mean like Chord Assistant in Cubase?ltbrunt00 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018I would like to see a chord selector in Reason.
This could work similar to how the Chord selector in Toontrack's EZkeys, Studio One 4 or Cubase operates. This seems to be the going rave these days in other products.
This would more than likely be a Reason 11 feature if it was ever added.

Any particular brand/model you'd recommend?EnochLight wrote: ↑27 Aug 2018For home studios, I can't (in good conscience) recommend anyone gets a 1080p screen these days. With 4k screens so cheap right now, it's almost a waste to buy 1080p IMHO. There are 50" 4k panels for just $249 USD!

Players wouldn't work for the type of chord selector he's talking about. For instance, in Studio One 4 it can work globally, more like Blocks do in Reason (where you can assign and select chords in blocks of the song). Reason would need something integrated into its sequencer to work right, IMHO.miscend wrote: ↑01 Sep 2018That’s what the players are for. Someone should make one as a player.ltbrunt00 wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018I would like to see a chord selector in Reason.

That said, with Props pitch detection algo's that are already present for their pitch editor, they're part of the way there with the tech. They just need to improve the algo's to detect polyphonic audio, and build it into the main sequencer.
Here's a quick (less than 4 minute) overview of how chord detector works on tracks in Studio One 4:
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD

That is exactly what I was talking about, didn't have time to add pictures, videos last week at work. Basically I just want this feature in reason so I can put one more nail in my Studio one coffin.EnochLight wrote: ↑01 Sep 2018Players wouldn't work for the type of chord selector he's talking about. Multiple lanes editing really makes create loops faster than ever
This is already implemented in other DAWs and I was missing it in Reason, now its finally here (10.2 released in a few weeks)
I really love to see all the lanes I need at the same time then click the ghosted ones and start to edit, just like that!
Now its just a matter of turn those loops into full songs

Just wondering if everyone is going to download 10.2 tomorrow and then the forum will be full of posts about DSP spikes and bugs. Or if they’ve already ironed out everything before release. I don’t know if I’d be better waiting a week or so before installing. I’m not in any rush . I guess we’ll see tomorrow .

Props beta testing is generally a pretty solid bet on release day (while there's always a slight chance that there might be a show stopping bug for some).MrFigg wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018Just wondering if everyone is going to download 10.2 tomorrow and then the forum will be full of posts about DSP spikes and bugs. I’m upgrading tomorrow. Everything seems good with the beta. So I don’t expect any major issues.MrFigg wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018Just wondering if everyone is going to download 10.2 tomorrow and then the forum will be full of posts about DSP spikes and bugs. Not yet. Probably in another 8 hours from now.
Don’t downoad Mojave until Props let us know it’s compatible. You’re also better off waiting until you know your hardware (audio interface, MIDI interface, and MIDI controllers) as well as any other software is compatible.
I gotta wait until Roland catch up with their drivers.
