Just saw the email and read the blog. So happy to finally have multi-lane editing! And there's more :)

Love what I’m seeing. I hope more midi applications will be on this update as well.

"Meanwhile, work on VST performance is ongoing. The result of this work will be released as a separate free update later this year. The reason it’s a separate release is because the performance work is an extensive rewrite of the inner workings of the program and requires an expert task force."

Also is great they at least keep us posted about this !

MUH GHOST LANNNNEEEEESSS!!!!!

I guess figuring out that workaround, promoting it at every turn, and making the feature suggestion really paid off time.

Long live the props!

This is such good news. Reason as an overall environment is more or less perfect for me already. Since VST I've not really been wanting for any big, new flashy features. Just the little details now and finishing touches that will allow me to work faster and with less clicks. Cannot wait to get my hands on the beta!

YES! The ghost track feature will speed up harmonically dense compositions big-time!

No idea. Some new way MIDI controllers can interact perhaps.

Yeah I prototype metal stuff with midi sometimes, and to get the bass and rhythms locked in with the kick I usually have to copy the drums, delete all other drums except kick, unify to one note and then drag the notes around until I get the right progression. Also assuming this works across lanes I could also keep articulation on its own lane (allowing me to transpose without affecting keyswotches)

Oh yeah. That drum-restricting-copying thing gets pretty tedious after a while, especially if you go back and change the drums.

This would allow for a “chord track” of sorts too. A dummy lane could be used to hold the entire progression on a basic ID8 , and notes could copied out from that to different instruments.

The key switch articulation idea you mention is a great point too! I’m working on a complex Combinator patch that should be helped by that.

I would think you're right - the more attention something gets, the more obvious it becomes to the Props it's worth implementing. Thanks for being relentless on this one!

It's sometimes the simple little features that you soon realize get used the most and have the most impact on workflow, and I suspect this feature will become one of those features for me!

This is all great news. Some of these features are late to the party but very very glad they showed up! Keep em’ coming!
