This one specifically mentions CPU performance on some PC machines so it'll be super interesting to see who benefits here! Also the Dual Arp bug has been addressed too. Just about to try it myself. Nice to see the updates coming in quicker!

Sadly it would not install on my machine. I have contacted support so hopefully be an outcome soon. Has anyone else had this issue per chance?

Marc64 had a small problem with this update, as he posted on the 10.1.1 thread. I was left dead in the water after the 10.1.1 update, had to download the whole thing and reinstall... so I'm gonna sit this one out for a day or two, see which way the wind blows. I've had a couple of weird behaviours with the dual arp, but not enough to risk updating just yet. I never used to hesitate, Props installs were always uneventful, and I don't want to start a "what has happened to Props quality" sidetrack... just feeling a little cautious at this point...

Installed okay over here. No performance change for me but then I never really had any problems to begin with. Dual Arp seems to be behaving itself though! It's useful again :D

Hi chimp spanner interesting to hear that and thanks for letting me know. I will await a reply and see how it goes. I reinstalled an older version so can still use it just cant use st100 strum re (which sadly is in my current project) as it only works with later updates

I think I still see same issue, but in a bit different form in 10.1.2d1
Check this out, listen to the loop for a while. Every now and then dual arp decides to do something else. Like move the pattern a step "to the right" for a single measure :)

BTW was this bug always only in the windows version?

That's exactly what mine does too! Thought I was hearing things for a while there... Always seems to render out okay to WAV though, so it's only mildly annoying at this point...

Seems to be missing the first note occasionally as it loops.
In the meantime if you use the Reprove mixer to slide it a couple ticks back it will trigger properly.
Might be a workaround until it gets properly fixed.

It has always done this for me since I bought the program @ version 9. I never really thought anything of it and just ignored it :D But I'm glad others experience this too, so it's not just me !

I was hoping that my Windows system was one of the ones which the fix would help with the CPU usage - no such luck. Oh well...

What is it doing now? I was about to go to Windows because I heard for the longest time Reason ran much better on Windows.

I5 8600k @ 4.6ghz with a focusrite solo (version 2). Had crackles and distortion at about 20% cpu usage in Reason. Now it's gone, so the patch is good for me.

Ah bummer! What is your system (including audio interface)? And project settings (sample rate, buffer size, track count)?

Similar to yours, i7-4700MQ, 8Gb RAM, Behringer UMC202HD. The only way I can work is with the buffer set to 8192. The recent Noise Engineering compo, I had 10 tracks but it was a nightmare to finish, as I had no end of audio break ups. I have a track in Studio One which was using 16% CPU, in Reason it exceeds 65% and has all sorts of audio issues. As mentioned in another thread, I am considering a computer upgrade to an i7-8700 with 16Gb but I am wary of spending the money when there are others with similar or more powerful computers than that, who are still having problems...

Yeah I wish some of the Microsoft users will notice this post. This has been said countless times in the past.

On OSX the performance is now great again I've noticed. Still running El Capitan but getting no glitches even on high CPU usage using low latency.

It could be your interface. Couple of times on here I’ve seen behringer and tascam users with crackling and popping. Soon as they go to a different interface it’s fine. Sadly all interfaces (or at the least, drivers) aren’t made equal. Found this out when I went from a £120 UR44 to a £699 Studio Capture and suddenly my performance sucked at the same buffer and sample rate. Returned it and went back to the old interface and all is well. Any chance you can borrow one to test it? Or anywhere with a decent returns policy?

I use the Microsoft Antivirus and Firewall. I've never had any issues with updates. Even on Macs I just use the built in Firewall. Paid 3rd party antivirus packages are just snake oil.

Me too. Hate those antivirus and “tune-up” programs they try to trick people into buying. Let’s face it...Propellerheads.se and re-fill shops. What more do you need? If you’re going to look at porn just use your phone 😂

I actually went to their support page and couldn't find it. They don't make it easy. Thanks.

This is a relatively new interface and the reviews for it are positive overall. Was having the same problem with my previous interface, as well as the built in audio. The interface also works well with Studio One and other audio apps - it just appears to be Reason that is having the CPU issues. Anyway, I am going to buy a new computer and hopefully, this will be more than powerful enough to eliminate the problems...if it doesn't, then I guess I will have to wait for the next version of Reason to see if that helps and use Studio One in the meantime.
