Hello,
I'm new to Reason, I just purchased Reason 10.
I'm following the tutorial Using MIDI Hardware with Reason - Micro Tutorial On YouTube.
To record the audio (3:11), he selects the audio track and clicks record.
This doesn't work for me.
If I select the audio track and click record, nothing is recorded.
If I select the midi track and click record, midi is recorded but not the corresponding audio.
The only way I found to record the audio is:
A. record midi track
B. Select audio track
C. Hit record. It will then record the audio corresponding to the saved midi sequence in realtime.
Surely, this is not the correct way.
Why doesn't it work when I just record the audio track? What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks,
Cedric

In your case, is the sound source you want to record ALSO the midi keyboard you’re using as input into Reason? I’d guess from your description that you have to have both the midi and the audio tracks into record-ready. Try that, tell me if if works.Cedric wrote: ↑07 Jul 2018Hello,

Or perhaps I’m on the wrong track and don’t understand the problem correctly
