Hey guys,
Does anyone have experience running the Intel Core i9 processor with Reason? I've seen performance tests with DAWBENCH of VST's like this one here
https://techreport.com/review/32607/int ... eviewed/12
But how does it translate to reason?
I'm finding myself stacking alot of RE's in some projects and my i7 6700k can't quite keep up. Bouncing gets way too tedious because they're all spread out over 20-30 tracks, so i was thinking about an upgrade.
The "entry level" i9 offers 10 physical cores which should, theoretically, at least double multi threaded performance compared to the i7 6800k. Theoretically. Threadripper isn't really an option from what i understand.
Music is my biggest hobby, so i'm confident with investments as long as they provide what i'm after. So...
Anyone with hands-on experience?
What platform did you migrate from?
Are the extra cores with lower clock worth it?
Should i just revert to mono-land and forget all i know about LCR-panning?

Exode has that CPU, and seems to really like its performance in Reason. Maybe reach out to him (he’s a forum member here).candybag wrote: ↑30 May 2018Hey guys,
