Reason trying to install steinberg driver at launch

I go to open reason as I normally would, login, fine, then it tries to install the driver from my steinberg UR22mkII and gets stuck on a "preparing to install" window. I want to say I've sued since the windows update, but maybe I haven't. Anyone else had this issue?

You should uninstall the Steinberg/Yamaha asio driver, reboot and Reason will start normally.
Then simply reinstall the driver.

turns out I actually posted this same question a year ago after windows update, and did that very thing to solve it. Had I searched the question I'd have found my exact post LOL

I had this happen before but it happened with another DAW.
