reason 10 not launching
Hi again, i think i found a solution.
I have plugged out my usb Device (Steinberg UR22) and Deinstall the Driver (Yamaha ASIO driver) in the System properties.
I notice that windows wants to install the device again before reason starts, weird.
After Deinstall i reboot and plug my usb device in and of course install the driver again, "tada" it works now, dont know why windows update fucks everything up...
I Hope this can help
Best Regards

Veryyyyyyy strange. I also have the same problem and a Steinberg/Yamaha soundcard! Different model tho(AG06).
1. uninstall soundcard
2. reboot
3. reinstall Reason
4. reinstall soundcard
Is that correct?

1. Unplug USB Device from PC
2. Uninstall ASIO Driver
3. Test if Reason starts without the ASIO driver Installed, if so then:
4.Reboot
5. Plug in USB Device
6. Install ASIO Driver again
I dont know if you have to reinstall reason, i dont do this step but this can be good too so grab the newest version to download and install it (i think current is Reason_1010) if you want.
Hope this help and repost if you have luck:) I hope it works for you now.
Really sorry for you
I also have emailed the Propellerhead support (i made a ticket) and get that Response:

Hi,
Yes, you're absolutely correct in that uninstalling/re-installing (the latest versions of the) ASIO drivers helps in this particular case.
Happy to hear you solved it, sorry I couldn't be of any help!
All the best,
John

I dont think you have the same error like us, you get unknown exception, we stuck at the install screen from our ASIO Devices.
Unknown Exception is a problem with youre system in combination with reason i think, and i would do a support ticket too if i was you.
Best Regards and i hope you figure it out!

I know multiple people who developed serious audio interface issues “randomly” over the last week or two. Both platforms have their share of issues but Windows update is beyond a joke at this point.
