From the very beginning, Props own RE's directly competed with 3rd party vendor RE's, so it's not shocking that something like this would eventually happen. Again.

You're actually amused by it. Fascinating.EnochLight wrote: ↑03 May 2018From the very beginning, Props own RE's directly competed with 3rd party vendor RE's, so it's not shocking that something like this would eventually happen. Again.

You're confusing "amused" with "not surprised".

There’s not a single rack device Propellerhead could create that wouldn’t cover some similar ground as other REs... there will always be some overlap with stock stuff and plugins no matter what DAW you use.

Was there a stand alone LFO when Pulsar was released?
Are there comparable RE's to the A-List Guitar Samplers (Rob Papen POS is NOT comparative)
How About the Rotary Leslie sim ?
Synchronous ?
Polar ?
Alligator ?
And the list goes on and on.
Propellerhead no longer appear to regard the existing users or the third party developers that have supported the platform (the disgusting money-grab subscription concept is proof positive of the latter) so it should come as no surprise if their future stock devices are blatant rip offs of what already exists in the rack.

Apple logic. Apple integrates 3rd party ideas and features into their OS's and afterwards the 3rd party apps are removed from the store because "they are too close to Apple internal functionality". Happened some times in the past.Geltic Höhn wrote: ↑03 May 2018Propellerhead no longer appear to regard the existing users or the third party developers that have supported the platform (the disgusting money-grab subscription concept is proof positive of the latter) so it should come as no surprise if their future stock devices are blatant rip offs of what already exists in the rack.
Be lucky that the RE's still remain in the store.

Correlation does not imply causation. That said, are you suggesting that once a product appears in the shop, Props should never ever release their own take on it? That seems like corporate suicide, IMHO.Geltic Höhn wrote: ↑03 May 2018Was there a stand alone LFO when Pulsar was released?

Sure, because updating your main cash cow product with new features and continuing said development of that product is clearly no longer regarding existing users...Geltic Höhn wrote: ↑03 May 2018Propellerhead no longer appear to regard the existing users or the third party developers that have supported the platform (the disgusting money-grab subscription concept is proof positive of the latter) so it should come as no surprise if their future stock devices are blatant rip offs of what already exists in the rack.
And how is an optional subscription model a disgusting money-grab? Asking for a friend...

You all need to lighten up and stop being so pessimistic. I'm like inches from setting RT in maintenance mode to avoid this ramble playing around with my gag reflexes.
That you're still using Reason all together is beyond me.

Lmao! I get what you mean but still, that sequencer player does look very nice i'm stoked and I'm one of the ones always asking for key features on here. Just a few key workflow features wouldn't go amiss too.chaosroyale wrote: ↑03 May 2018Cool, they have enough resources to spare to work on a new player. They must have finished improving the VST performance and implementing consistent labels across tracks, return to play origin, text value inputs, a new combinator, and retina compatibility.
People going on about 10.5, there'd be at least 10.1, 10.2 & 10.3 before a 10 5 came along wouldn't there? What did they do in that regard with 6 going through to 6.5 anyone?
