Sounds like Props are happy to let Panda steal sales from Panda by ripping off Propulsion and selling it as a new version of Propulsion. Unbelievable. Not amusing.

There’s not a single rack device Propellerhead could create that wouldn’t cover some similar ground as other REs... there will always be some overlap with stock stuff and plugins no matter what DAW you use.
Which says to me that Propellerhead should stop making new stock devices and improve the ones they already have. Subtractor 2, Thor 2, Combinator 2, ECF2, Kong 2, Redrum 2 and Scales & Chords 2 but that player does look very nice non the less.

ooh, drum pattern player... hopefully this gives some control to randomize timing and velocities... as cool as it was to build that stuff myself in a combi, it would be nice to be able to do all that without having 95 devices chained together in a giant, delicate, DSP-hungry balance. 😂
dang, there’s a probability setting...if it does timing and velocity variation too, I’ll be officially very excited. 🤩

Now if it's just this and a couple more romplers I'll be one happy bunny.
I just had to jump in here and state that even the most advanced Rompler gets stale after everyone uses it to death in whatever is the genre of the month.

What would you do with another more advanced rompler that you cannot do in NNXT? Now, if they gave us NNXT2 then I would be one happy bunny!!! And in truth, we’d both be able to meet our needs with that single device.

Best to leave speculation at the door, lets see what is announced if/when something is.

As for the excitement for another STEP/DRUM sequencer.. all I can say is you must be *very* new to this field if this genuinely excites you.

You're technically not breaking any rules, but could you please leave your usual influx of denigrating elitism at the door? Eloquence doesn't make up for it and it's really getting old. Don't stir the pot more than necessary.

Hey Kenni, how about you get off my case. I'm more than chilled about stuff, there's pages and pages of people being assholes and I'm always respectful, thoughtful, helpful, and honest.

I'm getting pretty sick of defending myself to you, and have absolutely no reason to be doing so.

Fair point, but I beg to differ.

I don't know yet what this new player is so I can't assess. Though I am in the optimistic band in this thread. Maybe it is a good reason for me to upgrade to v10. This is what I expect from Reason, become the best VST host in the market and provide excellent players, combinators, and other utilities.

I know that incremental releases are usually free, but since 10 came hard on the heels of 9.5, I worry that this may just be something I’m expected to pay for after just shelling out for 10
DAW: Reason 12

SAMPLERS: Akai MPC 2000, E-mu SP1200, E-Mu e5000Ultra, Ensoniq EPS 16+, Akai S950, Maschine

SYNTHS: Mostly classic Polysynths and more modern Monosynths. All are mostly food for my samplers!

According to conversations had @ SuperBooth today, it's a free, incremental update.

Even if it was just an update for new player devices, they have all year to gives us update for the other stuff on our wish list.

I would love to see a build your own player type device like the max for live tools.

I gotta say I'm flabbergasted at some of the latest threads.

The way some folk are going on it's as if Propellerhead are going to shit directly down their throats rather than look set to announce something in the not too distant future.

People seem more intent on collecting devices like Pokemon rather than discussing making music any more.

Maybe it's just me having a senior moment though.

I don't use the Players...ever...and I'd still take a new one before MP3 export LOL. On that note, there's only one thing I'd wish the Props surprise me with, and that's a built in bit bridge. YMMV.

I still hope for wavetable import for Europa. I wondered why this was missing from the beginning. Would make a great feature in an update.
