Another device that directly competes with at least 2 RE's. Brilliant.
There’s not a single rack device Propellerhead could create that wouldn’t cover some similar ground as other REs... there will always be some overlap with stock stuff and plugins no matter what DAW you use.
Which says to me that Propellerhead should stop making new stock devices and improve the ones they already have. Subtractor 2, Thor 2, Combinator 2, ECF2, Kong 2, Redrum 2 and Scales & Chords 2 but that player does look very nice non the less.

I should entirely give up making music and do something with wood...
Wood is too organic. I would prefer some pots and pans myself.

And that wouldn't get the same complaints? "Look at those desperate Props trying to eat all the RE filter developers' lunch by updating the ECF42", etc

Here's an idea, let's stop talking DOOM and gloom and start the speculation on what might get revealed tomorrow?

It's only day 1 of Superbooth! ;)

Possibly but the ECF was there before Re's so that would be my argument for the naysayers.

If you think overlapping is the same as directly competing, well...

I reckon it must be at least a new suite of player devices. Question is what will they be? :)

I'm hoping they have some sort of Propellerhead replacement for clip launching... looks like the Drum Sequencer handles the beats, so there must be a component for the melodic parts.... who knows!

Exciting stuff for sure! :)

I still hope for wavetable import for Europa. I wondered why this was missing from the beginning. Would make a great feature in an update.

Now if it's just this and a couple more romplers I'll be one happy bunny.
I just had to jump in here and state that even the most advanced Rompler gets stale after everyone uses it to death in whatever is the genre of the month.

What would you do with another more advanced rompler that you cannot do in NNXT? Now, if they gave us NNXT2 then I would be one happy bunny!!! And in truth, we’d both be able to meet our needs with that single device.
DAW: Reason 12

SAMPLERS: Akai MPC 2000, E-mu SP1200, E-Mu e5000Ultra, Ensoniq EPS 16+, Akai S950, Maschine

SYNTHS: Mostly classic Polysynths and more modern Monosynths. All are mostly food for my samplers!

Indeed, this would be pretty sweet. ;) Europa has become one of my favorite synths to use in Reason.

This makes me happy, but do they have any core workflow improvements? It would be cooler if it did.
