For those of you reading in the part of the forum, I've already been yakking about Grain and Proton and their likeness to Max/MSP and Pure Data. I love both of them, they're beautiful granular synthesizers.
Grain is the one I like the most, it's the easiest to work with, and with a few tweaks, could probably outshine Proton in a few ways.
Some things I'd like to see in Grain (and thusly in Europa)
1. SNAP TO GRID W/ON & OFF. Why can one not snap to the grid? There's a grid there, it's beautiful. Why not offer snap to grid and levels of grid snapping? For instances where one would want to work with a beat, why not allow for accurate snapping versus doing it by ear? Proton doesn't snap to grid either, but it has a more definitive boundary adjustment.
2. More "windowing" graphics. I know we have the markers in both green and red, which are technically the window boundaries, but I'd like to see that window outlined.
3. In addition to the various envelope presets, it would be nice to have a "dice roll" like products such as the PSQ-1684, for a bit more randomness within the envelope structure without having to also adjust the randomness with another LFO.
4. Maybe a few other filter options within the actual filter area, such as a comb filter, a notch filter.
Some additions to Grain I'd like to see/hear

Piggy-backing on this, I'd like a choice of binary and ternary grids. Not super easy to do ternary with a 16 steps grid...KirkMarkarian wrote: ↑01 May 20181. SNAP TO GRID W/ON & OFF. This kinda belongs in this thread, but can start another if needed.
Is there a way to grab the Long Grain rate-spacing parameter and use that to modulate anything?
I'd want to simply sync the rate-spacing with the main Grain filter or Osc level so that I can modulate the Grain Sample and Osc at the same rate, of course driven by the rate-spacing percentage. Hope all that is clear enough.

It doesn't look like that's a possibility. That would be pretty neat, though! Yep, add it to the tab!teddymcw wrote: ↑01 May 2018This kinda belongs in this thread, but can start another if needed.

I actually sent this into PRops...
I'd like them to move the mod/pitch wheel up near the waveform and make Grain's sections foldable. You can basically play the wave form, which is pretty nuts, but the rest of it takes up way to much space, esp on a small 13'. Often I need to see the waveform AND another device so I've got to move shit all over... PAin in the ass.
