Rewire vs MIDI

Hi,

I don't know if anyone else has this kind of a problem. When I use rewire for sequencing reason device from some other DAW (Reaper or Sonar in my case) and change patch in reason device, e.g. subtractor , everything is ok if I load subtractor patch. But, if I load patch of some other device, e.g. NNXT, the device is disconnected in DAW (Reaper) and I have to manually connect it again. To resolve this, I always use sequencing over virtual MIDI cable (Edit->Preferences->Sync->External Control). With this method everything works fine but it requires connection of MIDI port and reason device in Advanced MIDI device section.
Does anyone else have this problem and solution?

Good question. Thinking about adding FL Studio back but trying to figure out how to automate Rack extensions with fl studio (....lol)
